Plumbers by city
Each city page lists the local plumbers we know of, ranked by verified customer review score and then distance from the town centre, and says for every firm whether we have checked its Gas Safe number yet.

Finding a plumber in your town
Pick the city nearest to you above, or type your postcode into the search and you will see the plumbers in the nearest town we cover, if one is within about 25 miles. A city page shows every listed firm in one ranked list. Paying for a listing never moves a firm up it; a featured profile adds photos and a logo, not position.
Many of the firms on these pages were added from public trade directories and have not claimed their listing yet. Those profiles say “Registered company, not yet verified”. That does not mean the firm is unregistered, only that we have not checked it. Before any gas work, ask the engineer for their Gas Safe ID card and check the number on the Gas Safe Register website, as our registration guide explains.
Not sure what kind of plumber you need? Start from the job instead: boiler repair, emergency plumber, leaks and burst pipes or all services.
Questions about local plumbers
My town is not listed. Can I still find a plumber?
Often, yes. Type your postcode into the search and you will see the plumbers in the nearest town we cover, if one is within about 25 miles. We add towns as we list more firms. If nobody suits, use the contact page to tell us what you need.
How are plumbers ranked on a city page?
By verified customer review score, then by distance from the town centre. A review counts only once we have confirmed with the plumber that the reviewer was a customer. No firm can pay for a higher place.
Are the plumbers on these pages Gas Safe registered?
A firm marked Verified has had its Gas Safe number checked against the register by us. A firm marked “Registered company, not yet verified” has not been checked yet, so ask to see the engineer's ID card before any gas work. Water-only work, such as a leaking tap, does not need Gas Safe registration.
Is a local plumber cheaper than a national company?
Not necessarily, and we do not publish price comparisons we cannot source. What matters more is a clear call-out fee before anyone comes out and a written quote before work starts. Firms that have claimed their listing can publish their own fee table on their profile.
